Sculpting Terms and Rates
Each
sculpting commission is unique. Every client wants something different;
scale, period, genre, poses, detail level, basing, whatever. So instead
of providing hard, fast rates a general guideline for my pricing is $10
USD / mm of figure height. Plan on that and you'll have a good average
estimate. Prices do vary based on the complexity of the sculpts and how
much armature or doll work can be done. Saving me time saves you money
and time.
My other sculpting terms are:
- Client pays all postage and insurance fees.
- 1/2 of the payment is expected before I start work. The other half plus delivery costs are due within 10 days of completion.
- Client provides 6 copies of each sculpt for my portfolio and personal use.
- Client provides a by
line on the product packaging and/or the website from which sales are
made. The actual execution of the by line is left to the client's
discretion.
- All greens (original
works) are to be returned to me after mold making is completed. Works
based on proprietary intellectual property will remain in the
possession of the client.
- I am not a
photographer. My time is best spent sculpting. Any requests for photos
will be billed at $60 USD / hour, with a one hour minimum.
I work with several clients and my actual work time
is limited. New projects generally have a two month waiting period
until I can start them. Any time estimates will start from that date.
An estimated finish date is exactly that; an estimate. Life happens to
us all and some things will cause delays. Clients will be notified if
things get pushed back.
